Advancing Global Governance, Empowering Youth | GYGA Secretary-General Attends 2026 Geneva UN High-Level Summits

The Geneva Digital Week 2026 flagship events — the AI for Good Global Summit and the World Summit on the Information Society Forum (WSIS Forum 2026), both hosted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) — recently opened in Geneva, Switzerland. The two landmark UN summits brought together heads of state, international organisation leaders, academics, and industry figures to address AI for good, global digital governance, and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. Xuebing Bai, Secretary-General of the Global Youth Governance Association (GYGA), attended the full programme, engaging in multilateral exchanges, high-level dialogues, and international partnership discussions, demonstrating youth engagement in global governance.

Youth Connecting Global Trade: CUEB Students Serve at the UN ITC Booth at the Global Digital Economy Conference 2026

From 2 to 4 July 2026, the Global Digital Economy Conference 2026 (GDEC 2026) and Digital Economy Industry Expo was held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Under the theme “Building a Digital-Friendly City — Inclusive Intelligence, Borderless Connectivity,” the conference brought together government and business leaders and international organisations to explore pathways for digital trade development. The Global Youth Governance Association (GYGA), in partnership with Capital University of Economics and Business (CUEB), selected two student volunteers to serve at the United Nations International Trade Centre (ITC) booth.

Youth in Dialogue with the World, Building a Shared Global Future

On 2 July 2026, the “Switzerland–Geneva Exchange Seminar” was successfully held at the University of Geneva, co-organised by the Chinese Scholars Association of the University of Geneva, the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (SEM) Switzerland Practice Team, and the Geneva Chinese Students and Scholars Association. Xuebing Bai, Secretary-General of the Global Youth Governance Association (GYGA), was invited to attend and engage in in-depth discussions with Tsinghua SEM faculty and students on topics including UN international organisations, global governance, international talent development, and youth career pathways.

Chinese Universities Unite for the First Time at the 2025 Global Model WHO in Geneva

On October 28, 2025, the Global Model World Health Assembly 2025, co-organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), officially opened at WHO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. For the first time, a joint Chinese delegation was formed under the coordination of GYGA, bringing together students from multiple universities and high schools across China.
